Dear Mayor Newsom: Re: Shielding illegal alien felons from ICEI’ve been reading about your change in direction to “start turning over juvenile illegal immigrants convicted of felonies to federal authorities for possible deportation”. That’s a lot better than your previous practices of “costly and misguided efforts to shield these youths” from ICE.
Did it ever dawn on you that by shielding these illegal alien youths from ICE, by sending them into San Bernardino to disappear in the shadows, you were actually jeopardizing innocent Americans?
As unaware of the San Bernardino “Slip Into the Shadows” caper, I wonder if you are equally unaware of the “Federal Immigration and Nationality Act, Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii), "Any person who encourages or induces an illegal alien to reside knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such residence is in violation of law, shall be punished as provided for each illegal alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs fined under title 18 imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both."
It’s my fondest hope to see you appear before a U.S. Magistrate, handcuffed, at an arraignment to answer such allegations.
