Dear Mike,Indeed, George W. Bush has earned the title of worst and most damaging president in the history of our country. The book "Liberty In Eclipse: The Rise of the Homeland Security State" by William Norman Grigg http://www.rightsourceonline.com/welch/Bookorderform.cfm details the systematic and open assault on our natural rights by the Bush regime. I fear greatly for what will befall us at the hands of our next Presidental regent. Damn the ignorant and cowardly Congress; damn them and their supporters!
A correction for Professor Tsurmi, these United States are members of a republic (Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution), not a democracy. Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution on representative government and protection against invasion and rebellion states, "The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion, and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened), against domestic violence." The distinctions between a democracy and a republic are fundamental to limited government and the separation of powers, neither of which we have today.
Yours,
Douglas
