Fox must have been smoking his house plants when he claimed the U.S. needs 300,000 illegal immigrant workers annually.
According to the July 2007 U.S. Census Bureau, there are 54,277,000 million Americans, ages 16-64, who are not in the labor force. This includes 23 million "less-educated" American working-age adults who, for a variety of reasons, don’t have a job. Narrowing down these segments, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, of those actively seeking employment who cannot find a full-time job in the current economy, there are 14 million Americans.

This is as bad as Fox’s ideological kissing cousin, Jorge Bush, (Presidente Jorge el confundido) who lauds the beauty of willing workers seeking willing employers. A “willing worker” is generally a desperately poor unskilled individual from the third-world seeking almost any kind of work. A “willing employer” is generally a mercenary and conniving firm or individual offering employment to willing workers at non-living wages and terrible working conditions. In short, “willing employers” are American employers who won’t hire unskilled American workers because they can hire “willing employees” at a fraction of the cost. This is a marriage made in hell, on the backs of innocent American workers and taxpayers.
